A Message from our Editor in Chief:
“Dear readers,
Today, a new chapter for Mid-Century Home starts.
Our team is deeply passionate about mid-century and modernist architecture and design. For years, we’ve dedicated ourselves to finding and sharing the best homes and interiors with you.
However, the efforts needed for tasks like researching projects, coordinating with architects and interior designers, writing articles, and more come at a cost.
Until now, we’ve relied on advertising revenue to cover our team’s expenses and technical costs. However, there’s a limit to how much advertising we want on our website, as it impacts your experience.
Looking ahead, we have many exciting projects we’d like to work on. These include exploring diverse topics related to mid-century and modernist architecture, creating more long-form content, launching new channels such as a podcast, move forward the YouTube channel and more.
To support these initiatives - and keep under control the amount of ads on our website - we need additional revenue beyond advertising. The only viable solution is to implement a subscription model for some of our content.
So, today we are happy to announce that we are joining Substack, a renowned publishing platform, to bring you extra, in-depth content with a subscription plan.
Rest assured, you will continue to receive our regular updates, and we’ll maintain our free, ad-supported presence on our website and social media channels. On Substack, we will publish additional in-depth articles to increase our current offerings for those who choose to subscribe.
On our Substack, we’ll publish deeper dives into midcentury architecture, home renovations, interior design, and furniture design through extensive interviews with professionals and homeowners, available exclusively to subscribers.
How does Substack work?
Here, you can sign up for free or choose a paid subscription plan.
Paid subscribers will get access to all articles, while free subscribers will receive a limited selection. As a paid subscriber, you can choose between monthly or yearly plans.
Once you become a subscriber, whether paid or free, you’ll receive new articles via email.
The content for Substack features an even higher level of curation with a more in-depth format. We’ll introduce you to architects, industry experts, homeowners, and book authors, all inspired by modernist and midcentury values.
Regardless of your plan, all Substack articles will be ad-free, ensuring a clean and focused reading experience.
Explore our Substack now, browse what we’ve already published, and choose the subscription plan that suits you best!
We hope many of you will join us in this new adventure.”
